Un-updated BIR RDO Code Question

Please excuse me if I posted this in the woring forum but I was wondering if anyone can implications of an un-updated RDO?

I understand that this is the code that determines the municipality where one’s taxes are remitted. But what I want to know is what’ll happen to the taxpayer, ie employee, if it is not updated to where your employer is currently registered…

Does this equate to tax evasion and such?

I was just curious and thinking of the same thing today when I found out that my BIR profile, my RDO code is still registered in Real, Calamba, Laguna… My first employer was TNCIS (formerly NEC Component Philippines) in LISP, Calamba. I was with them for 3 years and it was during that time that I applied for my Tax ID number (TIN).

Fast forward to the present and 5 companies later, while I was trying to update my RDO code from supposedly RDO Code 43A (Ortigas business district) to RDO 050 (Makati business district), the BIR Perosnnel told me that my RDO code currently set to 056, which is in Real Calamba Laguna.

So the question remains unanswered:

What will happen to the taxpayer, ie employee, if it is not updated to where your employer is currently registered?

BIR wont accuse me as a tax evader.. God knows I always swear whenever I see my payslips with that humongous  witholding tax printed there, so I know that I am being deducted of it.

Anyone knows the implication of an un-updated BIR RDO Code? Any BIR people here?
