Yep, the second revision (or version) of the AIX user creation script for SIMS accout was not a success.. I really really thought that it will work since the redundant thing that I did everytime I create the account was just like that. But when it was automated, same problem occured.. HOme directory error. Anyway, I put a tip on my tech blog, go check that out… if you want. :)

Also today, I asked around the computer stalls here at Market Market. I’m looking for the ‘smallest’ form factor CPU. Villman managed to show me an EMachines from Acer, which is still pretty big for my Car PC requirement. (Oh, yeah, yesterday the LCD Touch screen for my Car PC arrived… will start the project soon!)

Action packed office day today… As soon as I opened up the email, I saw Sandy’s email about an RFC to be done at 10am Manila time… I knew I will be the one who’ll do that because I was the one assigned for on-call.. or at least that’s what happened the last time when I was on call.. remember the Veritar Cluster offline change? Yeah, that’s the one.

Anyway, it ended up in Ruel’s calendar.. he was the one who worked on it (with the little help from his friends) uy, Beatles Lyrics un ah.. hehe

So there was lighter load for me, just a couple of TSRs and I’m still finding a way to submit a request to stop netbackup from backing up the servers that will be decommissioned.

The day ends. Today was the last work day here in Vancouver. We will be heading back home tomorrow night, 11pm.

We attended our last meeting with Roy B… (there’s this weekly Thursday team meeting). And btw, during that meeting the fire alarm rang and we all went down the building… Yeah, false alarm.

After lunch we had the last tutorial/lesson/training from Ms. D.. eTrusts and a little VEritas… Then it’s time to go home.. Nader and Sandy said Hi and Goodbye, have a save trip… Then there’s Eric and David, then Edward and Elinore… finally Shiva.

I was watching SUpernatural when I found out about Samhain or Samhein… If you’re curious, it has something to do with Halloween… Also trying to promote SXSW, the largest musical gathering in the US.
