Starting this year, I will be posting my own goals that I want to accomplished for my affiliate websites! It’s pretty late to post it now, but like people say, it is better late than never. Also, technically it’s not late since I already have a separate post on it on my ‘official’ make-money-online blog.

Online Money Making Goals for 2012

Below is the snippet, a screen capture of the target that I set up for my niche site – both for Adsense and affiliate websites:

Create 1 Niche Adsense Websites Per Quarter of Year

I already some more than a handful of sites and the goal for 2012 is to start fresh. I will be building at least 4 Adsense websites that will be earning $250 each month. I will not include the earnings from my already established adsense sites. The goal here is to create 4 new adsense websites and have those earning $1000 a month before 2012 ends.

Create 1 Affiliate Website Every 4 Months

I find it harder to create, optimize and promote affiliate websites compared to Adsense sites. For websites created specifically for Adsense, we do not have to worry about pre-selling the visitors. All we need is to provide valuable information to them and present them with ‘More Resources”-type of links for them to check out.

In affiliate websites, yes you do have to do all the optimization and backlinking and marketing like you do in an Adsense site but you also have to pre-sell and have them (the visitors) click on the affiliate link for them to be taken to the product’s sales page.

For that reason, I think it will take a little longer for an affiliate sites to earn money compared to adsense sites. Hence, I am giving myself 4 months to create and promote 1 affiliate websites.

3:00am. I kept on waking up at 3:00am!? What is that?! Jet Lag?! whatever it is, it sure is disturbing my sleep… Take now for example, I woke up at 3:00am and can no longer sleep. I’m just thankful that I dont have fibromyalgia.

Around this time is lunch time in Burnaby. I can’t sleep, That’s why I turn this laptop on and checked my blogs (and my adsense. :)

My adsense is performing very nicely. It’s still doing the $30/day average earnings while I’m doing nothing and adjusting my internal body clock. I have yahhoo and googel to thank to, also don’t forget yutube utube huh… and you know what.

Anyway, we’ll be going to the doctors today. My wife and Sean and Matt and my mother will have their checkup and I will be driving the new 2008 Honda CRV! Cool!

I have been blogging for several years now. Started doing journals of my work and life sometime in 2006. Earlier still, 2005 probably, I did a mano-a-mano html editing (notepad) as I update my ‘so-called journal’. Back then I have no idea that what I was doing was called blogging. And I have no idea that I can actually earn couple of dollars doing it.

Now, many people are trying out this web log without any idea of what a blog is.

What is a Blog?

When you mention ‘blog’ to the uninitiated, they tend to think that that blogs are online diaries where people share their opinions, ramblings and personal events.

Wrong!

Confused huh? A while ago, I said that I do document my life on a blog. But blogging (or writing) about your personal life or experience is just one of the things that you could do with a blog.

Remember that a blog is a kind of website just like forums or static web pages or wikis. Today blogs are being used for all those sorts of purposes. Companies use blogs to communicate and interact with customers, newspapers have blogs to their main website and individuals that created a blog to share with the world their expertise on specific topics. And so on.

Take my blog for example, I dont’ write (that many) personal post but I do call it my personal web log isn’t it? My other blog, mentions Arnel Pineda a lot (and I have my rea$on$ lol). Then I have this work blog where I talk about techs, work, shell scripting and others. Band concerts and about music is what Pinoybanda is all about. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that blogging is not just for ‘personal diaries’… Write what you love. There are no rules (generally).

Money on Blogs

Is there money on blogs? Well, let me just say first that if you love blogging and writing and sharing stuff, monetizing blogs will definitely follows. I’m no pro, but there are lots of options out there that you can utilize to monetize you blog – adsense, adbrite, amazon affiliates, text links ads etc.

There are tons of keywords out there you can use to get some traffic. Right now there are some adult words floating around web like tube8 and redtube videos which have potential earnings. Yutube and dowload too are possible money earners. Qoutes me on that. :D

I already shared this information with my siblings and hopefully they will blog too about their likes (if not their personal lives). And I’m happy to say that my brothers is starting to earn a few bucks a day about this hobby we call blogging
