Emmo Change the Oil in Your Car

So, it has been 6 months since my last car oil change huh. The people from Servitek sent me an SMS the other day reminding me that it is 6 months already since the last checkup. (Or course, I have been in Mazda Ortigas couple of weeks ago for the rear suspension replacement).

How Power Door Locks Work – Keyless-entry Remote Control

remote-entry1Ever wonder how that ‘twit–twit’ door locking mechanism (keyless-entry remote control) in your car work? I did… This post is inspired by a someone who stupidly thought that you can unlock a car with the key (unlock) miles apart by using a cellphone! Yeah, how dumb is that?! Imagine you lock your car keys inside you car and the spare key is in you house several miles away. You then asked your wife to call you and ‘twit-twit’ or unlock the car by using the cellphone. He hopes that the sound will be loud enough, coming from the earpiece of the phone, to unlock the car!

Of course it doesn’t work that work that way. By inspection you’ll instantly know that it has something to do with RF or radio frequency. Let’s read more shall we?

Strip Down Dash Board Mazda 3

I have been tinkering with the Mazda 3’s dashboard for a couple of days now. I have been removing a part here and a part there and putting it all back again.

Taking off Emmo’s dash is like taking some sexy camisole of someone for the first time.. You shake and you worried but in nirvana at the same time.

Today though, this afternoon, I completely stripped the dashboard down to just the wiring and all the glutty stuff. I removed the side step that holds the side of the glove compartment. I then remove the glove to remove the silky thingy that hold the screws. When I removed that screws, I managed to pull the whole stereo out.

I then removed the cup holders, the one behind the hand break. Then the hand break cover. When that was removed, I unscrew the one that’s holding the change (barya) box with the cigarrete lighter.

Why did I do this? I want to become familiar with it so I can related to the guys that will be doing the mods of the dashboard.

I installing a car pc on this cool car! Cool!

As a matter of fact, I intend to document the whole process in a blog.. called carpc-101!

Not seeing any photos of the Mazda 3 on this post? Check out CarPC-101.com site soon! We’ll post it there!

That Irritating Ticking Sound

It’s not actually a ticking sound… I can’t find the word.. I was driving this morning and there’s this ticking noise on Emmo’s back, left wheel.. I knew that it is the brake pad, swinging that is making the noise.

I went to BOcaue last weekend to buy a brake pad lock, but unfortunately they don’t have one for a Mazda car. Dang! If i’m looking for best diet pills, I’m sure I wont have any problem.

Anyway, besides that, this mornign also whle I was driving somewhere between Santolan and Ortigas, I felt dizzy and my hands/arms and face went numb?! What’s that?!

Me and My Car – Ms. M

I haven’t made a post about the (not so) new car that blogging bought.. Well, here’s a follow up post. I promised then that I will be posting a picture of it, and so the above picture is me with Ms. M.. yeah, corny and all, but I have to name it something. :)

You can probably check out my flickr page for some more picture of her but I don’t have more for now… Will be uploading some soon though.. Some pictures on my flickr page is still my brother’s wedding.

Pooped Out

New word for your vocabularypooped or pooped out.. meaning:

pooped, poop·ing, poops Slang

  • To cause to become fatigued; tire: “Many people stop here, pooped by the short, steep climb” Sierra Club Guides to the National Parks.

Phrasal Verb:
poop out Slang

  1. To quit because of exhaustion: poop out of a race.
  2. To decide not to participate, especially at the last moment.

Fatigued and tired… that’s what I am feeling right now (or last night)… I was so pooped out that when I got home, I just want to lie down, rest, sleep and take the whole night away!

The sad part of things is that, I wasn’t able to play longer with my babies, Matt and Sean.. and my wife.

Considering I was only driving for 2 straight days… Either I need to do some more driving to set my body and adjust or I should not drive 2 days straight.

I wonder if the car needs to rest too? I dont want to replace its oil or coilovers or whatever every other month too.. So I guess I just have to drive less then… it will be good for the both of us… *wink*
