The 47LG50 HDTV that we bough in Futureshop (burnaby) arrived a couple of days ago… Stranded sya sa house ng girlfriend ng officemate ko.

I instructed UMAC (the freight/cargo/shipping company) to have the TV delivered there since Norzagaray, Bulacan is a little way too far.

I was wrong.. toink! :D

I should have addressed it to our home.. para di na ko problema sa pag uwi.. :D

I just talked with Dennis Bernal.. i was going to rent his pickup truck to get the HDTV but he said it wont be available till monday or tuesday. Darn.

What can I say, I’m a super big couch potato dude. I’ve been here in Vancouver (Burnaby) Canada for over a month now and I am doing nothing here at my homestay home except eat and watch TV! :D

I just finished watching new episodes of PRison Break and Heroes (where back home in the Philippines, I’ll start dowloading it by night time).

I love Mondays here in Burnaby. I love the first day of the work week (NOT). No, seriously, Monday is HEROES night! And you know soo love that show. Before Hereoes is Prison Break.

Then Thursdays are Smallville and Supernatural nights. All new episodes too! I love Vancouver TV> hehehe,.. there’s also vedios and mp3 streamings btw.

Good God! I’ve been here 2 weeks and I just found out now that two of my most favorite TV shows/series are being filmed here in Burnaby (or in BC at least)… Supernatural and Smallville, which I just recently watched their season premiere episodes, are being shoot here in Burnaby/Vancouver BC Canada! NICE!

Aside from Bryan Adams (and recently found out too, Keifer Sutherland), I am loving Canada more because of Smallville and Supernatural…

Let’s first list some of the places where Smallville shoots alright? I’ll have another post for Supernatural. Need to do some more Googling.

Smallville is filmed at various locations in British Columbia, Canada, with the main studio in Burnaby, a suburb of Vancouver. Downtown Smallville is filmed onsite at the town of Cloverdale, just between Surrey and Langley, a close 18 miles from the studio. Downtown Metropolis is located at none other than Vancouver itself.

I surely hope I’ll be able to visit the Burnaby studio one of these days (which by the way is in BB Studios, 6228 Beresford St, Burnaby, BC). Here’s a wikipedia map of the studio and a snapshot map from our office building to the Smallville burnaby Studios.

Soon. I’ll go there… it’s a must for every Smallville fan.. Di na ko makakabalik dito, hehehe, Soon.

I wonder if working in vancouver entitles them for the government benefits and insurance (claiming insurance) and stuff.

Today is Sunday. This is our second weekend (sunday) here in Burnaby, Canada. Officially living here as a homestay for 11 days now.

Yesterday we went strolling again along Kingsway (well, Burke St. first) and the guys went to to NCIX while I spent the afternoon looking for pasalubong stuff in Metrotown Mall, Sears and Best Buy.

Buying was easy since I need no translator when talking to the staff and all. But I wasn’t able to buy that many.

While I was in Sears, I went ahead and checked out those HDTVs, those bluetube black tube.. technically they’re no longer ‘tube’ but hey, the tube will always be the TV.

Bought a 10-pair socks which is on sale marked at $14.99, but bouth it around $9 something (thanks sa scratch and save). Also bought souvenir shirt for Matt and Sean.

Next place I found myself was in Best Buy across the street… again, check out the cool stuff they have inside.. HDTV, Bluray players, DVD and BlueRay Discs. mp3 players and ipods accessories and tons of stuff… plus Zen! That $100 Creative Labs Zen.. :)

I want to post here my personal experience in homestay. At present I am staying here in British Columbia, Canada, in Vancouver to be specific. Actually, to be more specific still, it’s in Burnaby.

But since the location of the homestay place I’m staying in is in the area of Burnaby commercial district and super near the Boundary (Road) between Vancouver and Burnaby, I can say that I am in Vancouver and Burnaby at the same time… Both are very conviently accessible.

What is Homestay and It’s Advantages?

You probably know what ‘homestay’ is or you wouldn’t be searching for it right? But in case you don’t know, it’s a living arrangement in which a foreigner (a person from foreign land… or internation student or cross trainess) lives with a family in the home.
