Ironic.. I was watching the classic moive “The Wizards of Oz” during my last day in Vancouver and now, my official second day here back home I’m writing my first post, “There’s no Place like home”.. nah, never mind.

I’m still trying to adjust my internal clock. felt like I’ve been in graveyard shift all week! Yesterday I was so tired and sleepy as soon as I lie flat on my bad, i was snoring.

The Arrival

Flight PR107 arrived at the Centennial Airport around 04:15 hours. That’s an early on our schedule (5:25am). It took us more almost an hour just to pick up our luggages (that’s alright, since late na ung susundo sakin).

I was at the arrival area of the airport from 6:00am to 8:45a… That’s when my brother, his wie, my mom and my wife and kids arrived to pick me up. (While I was waiting for them I watched Smallville Season 8 episodes 6 and 7, those I missed and the season premiere episode of ‘My Own Worst Enemy’)

Public Service:

In case you’re new here… nope, I wont ask you to subscribe to my feeds, you probably don’t know that I’ve been blogging about me going to Canada or our company will send us to Canada for an orientation and other stuff.

Well, I am here now. And this post is all about that.

The Flight

Our scheduled flight was September 2, 2008. We’ll be staying there until October 31.. so that’s more or less 2 months.

Our flight, Philippine Airlines PR 0106 was scheduled to take off around 16:45 on the said date. I almost did not make it, as a matter of fact I already called up my manager the day before (September 1) to her to cancel reschedule my flight. Matthew was sick then, his 4rth day of having a fever. (Thank God he’s alright now)

Arrived at the airport (terminal 2, domestic heheh) around 2:00pm. My bro drived me all the way and traffic the went through was hell! Thanks bro!

Walked from domestic part of the airport to the international one (yeah bro, you dropped me off to the wrong part of the airport).

WIth the guys (and a gal, Ever), proceeded with the checkin and paid Php750 at the immigration. Ate a cheeseburger and found out that I need to deposit 24000 for Smart Roaming capability… that was not the case the last time I went to Sydney.

Went back inside. Fillup a declaration form and pass the first security check, then a second then a third. (Yes, 3 times! Geesh!). The lady security gave me a plastic lip-lock bag for the cologne… forgot to transfer it, toothpaste and other I transfered from the handbag to the luggage.

After the security check.. boarding… PR 106. Manila to Vancouver (to Las Vegas).

On Air, On Flight, Airborne

My seat was 75D.. nope, that is not a window seat. Ako lang nasa gitna.. seated beside 2 mother and son indian. No problem… MOvie? Forbidden Kingdom, Speed Racer and Indiana Jones (Crystal Skull).

11 hour flight… Arrived in Vancouver Sept 2 pa rin around 1:30pm.. Got out of immigration and airport and inside the van/taxi/cab around 2:30pm.

At Divine Place Burnaby, Wrapped the First Day

Met Tita Marilou and Tito Ike, the owner of the house. Got to my room and put all the stuff in it.

Found out lots of things about the place like they are all brothers and sisters here living in the same compound, found out about their son and daughters and specially their grandchilden.

And speaking of the boys, they reminded me of Matt and Sean back home. Found out also that Matthew has been confined to be later confirmed to be dengue. :(

Tito Ike drove us to the way to the building, although we can see the T3lus building from their backyard.

Wrapped the day up, went to my room, unpack and slept.

First Day at the Office

Arrived at 8am. We were all prepared and Ruel hasn’t even taken a bath yet. :), Waited at the lobby (5th) for Ms. D. She then gave us the IDs and Secure ID. (bloopers at the access id).

Met Roy B. for a couple of minutes coz he’s so busy with the staff and meetings and all.

Tour around the building, met some personnels and laptops have been issued.

Back home, went to CostCo.. calling card Etc. etc. etc.

Second Day.

Same thing… Attended a meeting (team) and more introduction to the other teams. Went back home for lunch… 1Pm first training orientation by Ms. D… company history/profile and other stuff…

Third Day

Met Mar1t0… another pinoy.. already met Rosario.. many filipinos at t3lus… talked with Pol Ramirez.. apparently he too is from T3lus that’s why he got here in Canada.

1pm.. remedy and other stuff for Ms. D… Afternoon meeting, mnl SA.

FIrst Weekend..

Just got back from a long walk outside… along Burke St. and Central Park.. Pictures and Videos was taken and now, at 11:33am… writing this..

After lunch we’ll be going to Future Shop.. let’s see what we’ll find there… that’s in Metropolis.
