The current controversy regarding which advertising network, Adbrite or Adsense, is best for monetizing websites such as blogs, forums or authority directories, is quite intense. Until recently, Adsense would have been preferable, based upon the size of the site and variety of options, but lately, users have begun to second-guess their original opinions.

Adbrite vs Adsense – The Basics

First of all, let’s examine what each ad network offers its users. Adsense has been around long time, and definitely has the larger network of advertisers and publishers, due to being the offspring of AdWords, the world’s largest advertising platform. A quick scan of blog, forum, and IM sites will show you that Adsense still remains a notable favorite.

Adsense is undoubtedly easy to use and widely trusted, due to its being backed by Google, a publicly traded company with relative transparency. There are, however, limitations to Adsense, such as being able to place only three ad blocks per page, which severely limits the overall impressions of each page. Then there is the issue of having to wait for a minimum of $100 before Adsense will issue a check, which is a “minus” for owners of smaller sites.

Also, impressions alone don’t carry much weight, since all ads are based on a CPC, or “cost per click”. This means ads don’t produce any revenue unless viewers actually click them.

To the converse in the Adbrite vs Adsense question lies Adbrite, a slightly smaller company with a reputation for being every bit as trustworthy as its competitor. Many advertisers have been using Adbrite for some time now, and are delighted with it. Adbrite’s options for advertising come in various formats, including not only CPC but CPM – cost per mille, or cost per thousand views. Advertisers can use in-text ads, as well as full-page ads, to show between-content pages, similar to the the way newspaper sites do. Advertisers can also choose to have checks mailed in increments as small as $5, which is nice when an account is new and trying to build traffic.

Adbrite vs Adsense – Income Breakdown

As of now, there is no one resource that will show you how much each site can potentially earn for you, although the context analysis for both services is pretty solid. Neither of the sites will neglect to place ads relating directly to your content, which means giving your readers something they actually want to click. Adsense does have comparably strict guidelines for site approval and integration, however, which relate directly to their limitation regarding how many ads an advertiser can post.

Google is initially an experience service. They’re happy with their advertising revenue, but also want to proved readers with the information they’re seeking, so they do limit the amount of advertising. On the flip side of the Adbrite vs Adsense question, Adbrite is strictly an advertising platform. It has many major clients and companies signing on to post ads. This means the clients have full control of how much advertising appears on their own sites. Additionally, clients can choose to opt for advertising based solely on impression on AdBrite, which means they get paid if visitors simply reach their sites. For some markets, impression-based advertising can be much more profitable.

Finally, the matter of Adbrite vs Adsense comes down to which site works better for your individual needs. In terms of options and ease of use, AdBrite comes out ahead, but just by a tiny bit. Adsense is great, as well, for several reasons, but options are slightly more limited, and clients may have to cope with more oversight than if they opted for the other, more independent company.

The first month of 2010 is almost done and we are now heading to the “love month” and before you know it, the first quarter of the year just swoosh through! So, before the freshness of 2010 wind down, and while other bloggers share their magic keyword earner, let me share my… nope not my keywords, but my Google Adsense earnings for 2009.

Google Adsense is the most popular contextual advertising for bloggers, website owners or just website publishers. The most popular adsense earner I believe is Shoemoney, with his Google adsense cheque with 6 digit numbers.

Compared to Shoemoney’s adsense earning, mine is just spare change. So, how much adsense money did I earn last year, 2009? It’s $13,771.23! That’s not much for big time bloggers, but that is an enormous amount of money for me and for most of the bloggers I know.

My 2009 Google Adsense earning is quite larger compared to money earned in 2008. Way back in 2008, I have no idea about SEO and ‘keyword hijacking’ and search volume and all that. So if you want to make money using adsense or want to earn money online, I suggest you learn those things.

So, you’re probably asking, how much was my adsense earning in the year 2008? Check out the photo below..

As you can see, I first received my very first adsense money April 2008 with $198.81 after that, adsense western union money has become a regular monthly income for me. Also from the image you can see that I am learning my stuff. My earnings got higher and higher, well it went down but it didn’t drop down less that 500 after that.. and after December 2008 is 2009.. and we all know that sum of that.

This year, 2010.. How I would like to top my 2009 adsense earning. I wan to increase it but the problem is I’m to lazy. So that’s my tip for you all besides study, study, study.. DO NOT BE LAZY.

Do you have any questions? What are my keywords? What are the blog sites that earned me that adsense money? How did I do my link building? What are my schedules with regards to blogging and link building?

If you’re a pro, and earning way higher that the numbers shown above, good for you! Can you give me some tips? But if you are a newbie, or just starting out and want to earn adsense money online? You can follow me here, enter your email address below to receive my blog updates about blogging tips, hot keywords and trending topics… Thanks!

Here are 6 Easy Ways to Make Money from Your Blog Web Site… Easy? Well, it’s completely relative. If you are internet literate and know your ins and outs of websites and blogs, then it is easy.

But anyway, this list really do work and learning and applying these ways of making money from blogs or websites will surely earn you extra cash.

These tips came from a very successful internet marketer slash blogger slash internet entrepreneur, Jeremy Schoemaker. So this is proven working and more importantly, remember that I did not made this up… although I did made over a million pesos from blogging myself… naks!

Donations - If you’ve been surfing the interweb for a while now, you may stumble upon links like ‘If you liked this post, buy me a beer’, or ‘Help me with my Web hosting’ or something like that. Asking your frequent readers for help or donation is a good way in making money on your blog.I currently don’t have those paypal badges for ‘Donations’, but I am now considering it. Would you be giving me donations?

Subscription Revenue -This type of website monetization from your web blogsite is like premium membership on blogs or forums. They pay like a small fee to access a members-only area of a website forum where, of course, there are more information that will help your members.Another good example and more famous is email newsletter where in the more email subscriber you have the bigger your possible earning is. How?

Affiliate Marketing - And that’s answer our question of ‘How’ – Affiliate Marketing. But having a large number of email subscriber is just one way of earning from affiliates. The main way of earning commissions from affiliate marketing is if you blog website has tons of organic traffic.. or paid traffic, but organic is of course way much cheaper.

Contextual Advertising – This is where the ever popular Google Adsense is included. Contextual advertising is where companies like Google (or Adbrite or Yahoo and MSN’s context ads) displays related advertisement on your website. You earn commission from every click of ads by your visitors.

Direct Ads Sale – Direct Ads Sale is where you personally contact your potential advertiser to pay you to display their banners or any of their ads on your website. Much better way of earning from direct ads is, if they contact you directly because your blog is so authoritative and so well known that companies buy ads space from your website! This is my goal on my Pinoy Rock Band blog site… Wish me luck!

Selling in a Product – Your website has to be selling something. This is the most obvious way of earning from your website.

There are lots more ways of earning money from your blog. This list is just a grain of sand on the beach. I hope that after reading this blog post you’ll be motivated to search googel for more ways of earning money online.

Goodluck!

I now believe that Click Bank affiliates can be a very good source of income, an online money making site if you will and a definite Adsense alternative for those who got banned from Adsense (but still able do SEO and to rank to search engines).

Below is my earnings from Click Bank in a month selling.. well, entertainment… It totalled $433.79!

I really didn’t expect my clickbank products to earn this much. On my first week in Clickbank, I earned my first (almost) hundred dollars! That’s approx $100 a week.. not bad but I still think it’s beginner’s luck!

Would you agree that this is a perfect alternative for Adsense?! I think I do.. I’m thinking if I could see one product per day, that’s $33/sell, that’s almost $1000 a month! That’s more that what ordinary bloggers are earning in a month using adsense, right?!

I had a busy, bank day today considering today is Monday, my “Sunday”…. Today started yesterday, actually. (That’s two weird sentences already, are you following me? lol).

Yesterday was 2009 Mother’s Day. We celebrated the day in the mall. It was crowded than usual or it’s just probably Sunday and we usually go there Monday. Burger for lunch and Wolverine for the movie. Anyway, what I wanted to say is that we withdraw the adsense money in Villarica pawnshop Marilao branch. My wife took a lot longer to withdraw the money than usual because it’s a new branch probably… sa Country bank, where the people there know us already, only took a few minutes.

Anyway, today, Monday, I opened up a dollar savings account here in BPI Bank Norzagaray Branch. The minimum amount required to open one is $100. I initially deposited half of what we withdrew the day before and half (forex was $1=Php47.00) was deposited on my BPI Peso account (Php 47,000) which is what i use to pay bills online (Smart,Meralco etc..)

May 11, 2009 is also the maturity date of the 3-month long time deposit. The money we invested in there was the education plan of two of my boys and my own personal insurance from Sun Life. All are due by the end of the month.. I thought , why keep the money hiden somewhere the house when you can put in safely in the bank. Anyway, I renew the time deposit and added the new batch of savings (Php40000). Set it to mature in another 3 months.

Need to remind myself with the dates.
