If you’re a blogger, I’m sure more often than not, even with AKismet anti-spam plugin dowloaded and installed, you will encounter some spam comments waiting for you to moderate.
Once upon a time, every time I logged in to my WordPress dashboard to check on my comments, I always get irritated if there are more than 5 spam comments in there. Not anymore (most of the times at least)!
There is actually one Good Thing about spam comments… What is it? Keywords!
What are these comments looks like?
These comments are those with full of links to the spammer’s site/blogs or their customers’ blog site.
See the snapshot below… that’s what a spam comment looks like:
Like I said, the good thing about it is that you’ll get some ideas of keywords to optimize. Take “Jason Mraz” for example.. If you asked me before I saw the spam comment, I have no idea who this Jason dude is.. But after checking the Trends on that name, I realized that he is one famous singer.
So the next time you saw a spam comment on your to-be-moderated comment.. read ‘em first.. who knows there might be a money keyword in there.
But right now, I’m still doing Redtube and Tube8! Keywords from SEO master Mojica!
