Mom’s Lap Choly (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) Procedure

by jacaranda on August 7, 2009

laparoscopic cholecystectomy or lap choly is the medical term for Removal of the gall bladder through small punctures in the abdomen to permit the insertion of a laparoscope and surgical instruments.

This is what my mother went through today around 2pm… She’s alright now… She was back at her suite around 5pm and asleep when I left aroung 6:15pm.

Mom, Tita Mariz and Me went to the hospital around 7:00am (got there a little pass 8:00am) and proceeded to the ER where the nurses did the routine check and informed the doctor(s) and asked for the papers and stuff. OWA and Philhealth to be exact.

Nel, Pie and Ate got here by 10am with the OWA scan/print. Went to Philhealth Sta. Maria (hurriedly beating the office hour) and got myself a copy of father’s member data record.. ok na, fillup-an nalang ung papers.

Went home a little pass 6pm and now chatting with dad about the details.
