Happy Chinese New Year to all our Chinese friends in the country and all over the world! Hope this year will be better than the last!

Starting this year, I will be posting my own goals that I want to accomplished for my affiliate websites! It’s pretty late to post it now, but like people say, it is better late than never. Also, technically it’s not late since I already have a separate post on it on my ‘official’ make-money-online blog.

Online Money Making Goals for 2012

Below is the snippet, a screen capture of the target that I set up for my niche site – both for Adsense and affiliate websites:

Create 1 Niche Adsense Websites Per Quarter of Year

I already some more than a handful of sites and the goal for 2012 is to start fresh. I will be building at least 4 Adsense websites that will be earning $250 each month. I will not include the earnings from my already established adsense sites. The goal here is to create 4 new adsense websites and have those earning $1000 a month before 2012 ends.

Create 1 Affiliate Website Every 4 Months

I find it harder to create, optimize and promote affiliate websites compared to Adsense sites. For websites created specifically for Adsense, we do not have to worry about pre-selling the visitors. All we need is to provide valuable information to them and present them with ‘More Resources”-type of links for them to check out.

In affiliate websites, yes you do have to do all the optimization and backlinking and marketing like you do in an Adsense site but you also have to pre-sell and have them (the visitors) click on the affiliate link for them to be taken to the product’s sales page.

For that reason, I think it will take a little longer for an affiliate sites to earn money compared to adsense sites. Hence, I am giving myself 4 months to create and promote 1 affiliate websites.

A friend of mine shared this apparent Rhian Mo video on Facebook. I’ve gone ahead and checked it out and the couples in the video are in fact Rhian and Mo.



The original uploader of the video have already removed it from Youtube but of course, knowing Pinoys, they already have their own copy and already shared them to their youtube accounts.

When I saw that video, I posted my comment asking Senator Bong to intervene and try and help Rhian Ramos. Just like what he did for Katrina Halili. I feel so sorry for the girl. This aint right.

I also clicked on the Report button and asked Youtube to put down the video. I am not sure if the admin or folks at the video sharing/social networking removed the video or the account who uploaded it but the video (original one) is no longer there.

Of course like I said, the video spread like wild fire. You can still search for it but I urge you to report those video too.

Once again, I hope I have spare time in the future to update and refine this post to benefits others but for now, I will just slam this short post on how to ‘fix’ and take out the Top Level category or the prefix category text that is in the WordPress blog permalink structure.

I have a site that keeps getting “Non Existing Post” something error when I click on the Category then Next Page.

During that time I have the Top Level Category Plugin installed (I”ve been playing around with Siloing, hence)  and when I disable that plugin, all is good.

I read from the WordPress forum that there is a fix from that issue and I also tried FV Top Level Category plugin (from the same author) and that didn’t work.  I still have the 404 error when I click on Next Page from the Category page.

Finally, from the same forum, I installed WP No Category Base which also says “Removes ‘/category’ from your category permalinks” and, yes, that little plugin made everything ok. It worked.
