Creating The Best Resource Bio Box

by on July 25, 2010

Your resource box (aka bio) appears at the bottom of each of your articles unless you override it at the article level. This is your chance to get people to visit your site. Here are some tips to make that happen.

  • Put your call to action first! Give them an incentive to visit your web site and give you their contact details.
  • Send them to a page that directly relates to your article. For example, an article on “How to Unclog a Drain” might link directly to a sign-up page you have for free Do-It-Yourself Home Repair techniques.
  • Write your resource box in 3rd person. Don’t use “I.” Be professional!
  • Use links inside your resource box (aka bio). Hyperlink a keyword phrase to your site AND create a hyperlink to your domain name as well.
