It’s 1am in the morning, June 24, 2009… I managed to restore this blog up using my one and only database backup! I don’t even have the HOME files, just the plain old sql file… Lesson learned: Doa Regular backup and Don’t trust your webhosting company.. Sometimes, they don’t have your backup too!

Anyway, MMDA post was the latest post when I recovered this blog.. I will check out Google cache tomorrow for some bits and pieces of the old post… although it’s not that important, sayang din un . :)

I am also trying to revive my wife’s cookings – Filipino recipes… and my Couch Potato blog (both old and new) that is also hosted on that webhosting company… But in fairness to they, folks at Robor Webhost (made up) are quite polite and nice… but the service and support sucks.

Which reminds me, I’ve always had problem with them.. that’s why I purchase Bluehost in the first place because of their uncompetitive service… I decided to keep them for couple of more months because I was afraid to move my money earning blog.. but since that’s banned.. I have no reason to stay… specially now that I also have a brand new, shinny Dreamhost account..

My blogs that are hosted in YRHost all went down today (and a huge drop on adsense earnings). At first I thought that I once again been put into the ‘sandbox’ but when I tried googling some of my keywords, they’re all there!

I then tried accessing the sites and all of them are redirected to a suspended page!

That is the second time this thing happened on YRHOST (and probably more with it’s franchise). The first incident they said that the server can’t handle the traffic… Sure. Now this time I’m asking what’s the root cause of the incident. Still no reply yet..

If they are going to say that their server can’t handle my site’s traffic, that’s it. Adios YRHost. You have no use for me anymore.. (darn it! I just paid them the semiannual fee! Darn!)

Well, favewell on the next six months. If their service and commitment for 99.99% uptime is like this, they will soon be out of business.

This is also the reason why I sign up for Bluehost. They said that if my traffic grows to a load that my shared server can’t handle, they will transfer me to a much capable server… no extra cost.. If the YRHost incident happens again, I’m going to transfer this blog to Bluehost and see if the BLuehost people will stick to their word.

Napuyat ako dito ha.. I just have to wait and see for myself now! I can’t wait tomorrow morning!.. at the strike of 12 midnight tonight I opened up Google Analytics and check out my total number of visitors!

I know that this is not normal. See my Adsense Fiesta Post… Usually I get more or less 3,000 visitors a day but now, CHECK THIS OUT!!

Holy crap! It’s more that ten thousand visitors! 10,110 to be exact!! This is both Good news and a bad news.

The good news, Adsense earnings for today was 4x the regular earnings!! Geess!!
The bad news… I’m sandboxed again. Google doesn’t want a sudden surge in traffic… oh well, good thing I am now hosted on a super strong STABLe BLUEHOST web hosting!!! Yeah!

Update (october 27, 2008):

Here’s the visitors the next day… it still went up, but the earnings is back to normal.. why/how is that?!
